Linux kernel 2.6.22

Based on the vanilla kernel (2.6.22.3) from kernel.org.

Intel IPW2200/IPW2100 WLAN chipsets

Since version 2.6.14 the kernel supports Intel IPW2100/IPW2200 WLAN chipsets out of the box. To use the the modules you need an additional package containing the needed firmware:

The packeges are located in the non-free section of my Debian Repository!

Kernel Configurations

There is the base config for i486 processors:

They are patched with these processor specific configs:

• athlon
• athlon64
• c3
• i486
• k5
• k6-1+2+3
• pentium
• pentium-ii
• pentium-iii
• pentium-iv
• pentium-m
• pentium-mmx

For each of them it is build the kernel-header and kernel-image packages. The package names are build as: kernel-image-2.6.22-fiasko-(athlon|i486|pentium-iv).

The patched kernel source is found in the kernel-source-2.6.22-fiasko, the kernel documentation in the kernel-doc-2.6.22-fiasko package.

Additional these kernel modules packages are build (some of them found in the non-free section):

• alsa-modules - Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (drivers)
• fglrx-kernel - ATI Radeon and FireGL video card modules
• ipw3945-modules - Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG modules
• iwlwifi-modules - Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN modules
• nvidia-kernel - NVidia video card modules

The package names are build as: <modules-name>-2.6.22-fiasko-(athlon|i486|pentium-iv).
